PEGUAM started off as a small group of lawyers who wished to bring legal awareness and assistance to the community. In 2019, under the banner of M³, we began efforts in organising free Lasting Power of Attorney certification sessions, seminars on property and inheritance law, as well as collaborations with other community partners on events.

To serve the community better, we have established PEGUAM as an independent society. Our aim is to continue the work we have done, as well as enable our members - which include Muslim professionals in the legal industry, individuals who are legally trained, as well as those still studying law or law-related courses at tertiary education institutions - to network with one another. We seek to aggregate resources and expertise to provide pro bono legal assistance and guidance to the community at large, regardless of race or religion.
